Yay for Patchwork, Santa Ana!

Posted in Events on June 7th, 2010 by Domestic Nest – 3 Comments

Santa Ana was hot, hot, hot on Sunday. We didn’t sell a single coffee cuff. Not surprising, since the thought of buying a hot coffee was the last thing anyone wanted to think about. We did, however, sell out of leather beer cozies. Again, not surprising, since everyone was wishing for an ice cold brew and Dad’s day is coming right up. Take the jump below to see what else we sold at the market.

What to do With Those Scraps?

I got inspired by Lily to try out some embroidery. So, I ordered a big ol’ box of antique embroidery hoops on Ebay. (God bless Ebay and all the treasured obscurities found there.) I used a vintage wool scarf and leather scraps to make some very spring-inspired wall hangings.

These might look sweet hung in a girl’s room.

We’ll have these and lots more stuff at Girl’s Day In San Diego this coming Saturday.

Hope to see you there!

Barrels and Branches is a beautiful, unique nursery at the intersection of Santa Fe & El Camino. They’re known far and wide for their expertise, extraordinary selection of plants, and design services. They host beautiful events and the grounds look more like a botanical garden than your run-of-the-mill nursery. Stop by this weekend to check out their newly stocked gift shop and meander through the gardens. You’ll be impressed by their seasonal decor and how much Christmas shopping you can actually get done. They feature several local artists and designers who hand make high quality, affordable, one-of-a-kind gifts. A trip to Barrels & Branches is all you’ll need to get into the Holiday spirit!

Crafty Update

joyThe Girl’s Day In market was super fun and left us filled with JOY. (These are the freebie bookmarks we donated for the swag bags.)

We were inspired by the energy of the event, made possible by smart hep vendors and a funky cool crowd. I have a major crush on these three booths…Made With Luv, Happy Find, and Jen’s Designs.

Thanks to those of you who stopped by or wished us well. And major thanks to Allison Creative for working so hard!

We’re looking forward to Patchwork in Long Beach on November 29th! Hope to see some of you there.
